Blanc and Demilly - 20th Century French photographers
An introduction to the work of Theo Blanc and Antoine Demilly who teamed up in the 1920s and photographed under a single identity for the next four decades. Innovators who used their technical mastery to experiment with all styles of photography, they turned Lyon into a photographic centre. Their role in the history of photography was recognised with an exhibition at the Pompidou Centre in Paris in 2000. This video was made to coincide with an exhibiton of their work at Rathbone in 2009
