Willy Ronis
Ronis inherited a photographic studio from his father. It was when that failed he was able to move to the streets where his talent could emerge. After the war he set up the Rapho Agency with Doisneau and Brassai. The first French photographer to work for LIFE Magazine. He spent many years in the South of France but felt much more at home roving the streets of Belleville in Paris.
