Blanc & Demilly
Théodore Blanc and Antoine Demilly took over an already well established studio in Lyon in 1924. It was to be their base for the next four decades. The introduction of compact Leica cameras allowed them to break out of the studio walls and commercial work and explore their city and beyond in the search for images. In 2000 there was a retrospective of their work at the Pompidou Centre in Paris.
