Paul Almasy

A pioneering photojournalist, Almasy described his work as an “archive of the world”. Unlike some street photographers he always tried to respect the dignity of his subject: “When I took photographs I never crouched down like a cat about to pounce on its prey. I never attacked with my camera.”
