His best known work captures the transition from youth to adulthood. Showing the children of friends and family in the evening sun in late summer in the south of France undressed, unashamed and radiant. Like Nan Goldin, Sally Mann and Robert Mapplethorpe his work has stirred up debate on artistic freedom and limits.
